Welcome to Creative Scraps Sunday Challenge!!!

Good Morning Everyone!! First of all I want to thank you all who have been following along all week, going from blog to blog, with our Creative Scraps Challenge Week!! I know that the three of us have definitely challenged ourselves and I hope that we have inspired you all in some way! I also want to thank my two great friends, Cristi and Molly, for joining in on this idea i have had bouncing in my brain for a few weeks now!! You two are crazy and great for doing this with me :)

Now, if you have been following around all week, you know that our challenge was to creative Halloween or Fall Projects strictly using the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge!! Trust me when I say we struggled some nights trying to figure out what to make! LOL However, for today's added element...we HAD to incorporate Ribbon some how on our project!

So lets get onto the projects........oh wait a minute---Wanna know who our Special Guest Designers are?!?!?!? Well....we have one of Cristi's Best friends and a Fantastic Crafter, Dorcas from 4CraftyAngels, and a very good friend of mine who is VERY well known :), Momo from Made by Momo. We are so honored that you two have joined us for our very first Creative Scraps Sunday Challenge! Thank You!! (The two of them used Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge in their projects)

Ok here are our projects (and you can go to every one's blog--by clicking on their name--to view the details about their projects)

Momo

And here is mine! I used the cornucopia from PDDU on page 63. And then used a ribbon pleating technique that I saw a while back but found Momo use it in one of her older videos. To get the shading and coloring on my fruits, I used a blender pen and my ink pads from Stampin' Up! I've really started to LOVE using the blender pen! I also inked up the edges of the cornucopia.

Ok, now here is YOUR chance to enter in on the challenge!! If you have Everyday Paper Dolls or Paper Dolls Dress Up, use that to create a Halloween/Fall project.  Because we don't want to exclude anyone, you can also enter a project with a Halloween/Fall theme as long as you've incorporated ribbon in your project!
Wanna know what the winner of the challenge will receive??? [our sponsor for today is Cristi :)]

Since we've all been doing so much doodling throughout the week...it was only fitting to include a Gelly Roll Pen
Inkadinkado Mini Fall Stamps

Inkadinkado Mini Halloween Stamps

Cloud 9 Photo Mats Specialty Paper--Prepping for Halloween & Christmas

Be sure to link your project below with the mister linky!
Now for the rules: 1) Only one entry per person 2)Be sure that your link is directly to where you posted your project for this challenge! 3)You have until Midnight on Sunday, Oct.3rd to link your project.
The winner will be announced here on Monday Morning, Oct.4th.
Other than that....HAVE FUN CREATING WITH YOUR SCRAPS!!

Friday Challenge Day

TGIF Everyone!!!! And Good Morning!!

I didn't really want to be up at 8:30am but my hubby and my body didn't want me to sleep any longer(lol) so I figured I'd get up and get a move on it! hahahaha. Today is my day to provide "inspiration" for our Creative Scraps Challenge Week!
First---I want to thank you all who have been bouncing around from blog to blog each day to see what we're creating AND to be inspired. And for leaving comments.....comments motivate us!  I also want to thank everyone who has gone over to Molly's blog and become a follower and left the sweetest comments.  She really does appreciate it and it puts a smile on her face.

OK Enough of that...onto my card for the day! This style was totally inspired by Momo @ Made by Momo's , who created the most adorable Christmas card with a penguin on it!! Be sure to go check her out, although I'm sure all of you found me through her so you've probably seen that naughty little penguin ;) Like I said the card style (easel) was inspired by her.  The stamp set is from no other than Scrappy Mom's (if you guys haven't seen their stamps or want to order be sure to head over and check them out.  Trust me, you wont be disappointed).  As you know the challenge is to create a Halloween/Fall Project using Paper Dolls Dress Up--on Sunday, we'll have an added element! Just to spice things up!

The only thing that is not on Paper Dolls Dress Up is the goo coming out of the pot.  That is the "gooey" boarder punch by Martha Stewart. This adorable witches shoe laces are braiding cord and her face come from PK Everday Faces.

Just thought I'd show you what a mess my desk is! Momo would freak out if she saw this!!!!! Hahahah I've not only been working on challenge stuff this week but also invitations for an order on etsy....hence the huge mess!

Card for a very Special Follower

Happy Wednesday Guys!!!

Don't forget about our Creative Scraps Challenge Week going on!!! Today, Molly @ Army Wife Learns the Cricut will be showcasing her absolutely ADORABLE card!!! She keeps claiming that she is a beginner at using her Cricut and card making but this card blew me away!!! :)  So be sure to head over to her blog and check out her project and leave her a comment!

Ok.....onto my card for the day.  I really wanted to make something to show my true appreciation for a follower who is always leaving me comments and who sends me emails!! She is just absolutely phenomenal!!! And I couldn't think of another better way than to dedicate my post and card today for this person! ---Now thank you so much to everyone who leaves comments, I appreciate them more than I can say!!---

Now for the Reveal of My card!
And I just LOVE how this card turned out!! The Shoes are cut from the Wedding Solute Cartridge. The Purple Foil Paper came from my awesome friend Momo (From Made by Momo)--she sent me a stack of all different paper when I moved to Florida :)  Of Course, As you've guessed, the Stamp is from "Scrappy Mom's Sweet Somethings" Stamp Set! And I changed it up a bit with a Boarder Punch up top (nope that was a mistake of me cutting the paper too small but finding a solution!! LOL)

So Ivette (from Latin Scrap Diva ) the card and blog post are dedicated to you!!! I really hope you like the card!! And be sure you all head over to her blog and check it out.....her work is adorable! Love her stuff!!

My Day for Creative Scraps Challenge Week!!

Good (almost) Afternoon Guys!! I'm sorry that this is getting post WAY later than I would have liked but my Dr.'s (Dr. Cristi & Dr. Molly) ordered me to sleep in after my little accident yesterday! LOL Nothing serious, but I just wasn't prepared to go Running in 93 degree weather and little ole me gets heat exhaustion very easily. Still feeling a bit dizzy this morning so I'm taking today slowly! ANYWAYS....Onto My project!

As you know,  this weeks challenge is to create using Paper Dolls Dress Up and the Theme is Halloween/Fall.  Of course, after seeing Cristi's card yesterday....I had to use the little wagon! I couldn't contain myself so I TOTALLY stole her idea of the wagon but I really hope you like my Halloween Card!

Of course, Everything is cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up but trust me, I wanted to try and sneak a few cuts from other cartridges! LOL.  I really think it came out cute!! I was struggling for a bit but then I pulled out my FABULOUS Scrappy Mom's Stamp Set ((have i said that I LOVE THEM AND THERE FABULOUS YET?!?!?!? LOL)) and decided that I wanted to use "the smallest pumpkins have the biggest grins" and I just ran with it!

Don't forget that the Creative Scrap Challenge will be going on All Week Long and you'll get the chance to enter in on the fun on SUNDAY when we will all be showcasing a new project and have 2 Special Guest Designers!!! Tomorrow, Molly at Army Wife Learns the Cricut, will be showcasing her project for challenge week!! It will be her second project post on her blog, so be sure to check out her blog and leave her some comments!! I'll be sure to have her link posted up tomorrow as a reminder AND be sure to come back here tomorrow for a special card that I'm making for a very special followers of mine.  I don't want to give away who it is but check back tomorrow to see if its you!!!

Happy Monday & Welcome to Creative Scraps Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!!

I am SO excited for this week!!! Its finally here after a few weeks of discussion and ideas being thrown around!! This is our first official challenge week and for this week's challenge for us girls is to create a Fall or Halloween themed project using the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cartridge. So all week each of us will be showcasing a project on our designated days.

To start off our Challenge Week, Cristi is the first to showcase her project!! And let me tell you, her project is absolutely ADORABLE!  So you need to hop on over to her blog at Scrappin 5 Little Cupcakes to check our her project!

Since this is a new challenge....here is how the week will go:

Monday & Thursday: Cristi will be showcasing her project at Scrappin 5 Little Cupcakes
Tuesday & Friday:  I will be showcasing my project here!
Wednesday & Saturday: Molly will be showcasing her project at Army Wife Learns the Cricut

On Sunday, All 3 of us will have a new project posted here on my blog but with an added element (color challenge, must use: ribbon, buttons, brads, must incorporate a particular image, etc.) and we will have a Special Guest Designer to give you a little more inspiration!! Sunday will be your chance to enter in on the challenge!! I will have a Mr.Linky up and you will have a week, till Saturday the 26th, to link your project! Then on Sunday (27th), we'll announce the winner!

Happy Sunday Everyone

Hey Everyone!!

I hope that you all are having a FANTASTIC Sunday afternoon and enjoying it before you know it, Monday will be here!!! lol. For today's card, I made it for a very close friend of mine. As you guys know, I'm a military wife and I've been through 1 and 1/2 deployments (your probably wonder how a 1/2 but my husband and I actually started talking more seriously toward the end of his 1st deployment). Deployments are one of the toughest things to go through, your always consumed with worry and than of course you miss your spouse. There are days when you are completely fine and there are days when you just wanna stay curled up in bed. ANYWAYS......My military wife crafting bestie Molly (Army Wife Learns the Cricut), has been having a hard deployment weekend, so Cristi (Scrappin 5 Little Cupcakes) and I thought we would dedicate our Sunday posts to her with cards we're sending her to hopefully make her smile!!! Be Sure to head over to Molly's blog and leave her a comment to cheer her up!!! Im sure she would LOVE IT!

So, I had the perfect idea and used my Brand Spankin New Hello Kitty Greeting Cartridge!!! I was really debating on whether or not I would be getting this cartridge. I felt like it was kiddish but all the images are really cute!! One's like this, I think i will be using quite a bit! Even my hubby asked "Are you serious? Hello Kitty? How old are you?"...my response "Five" LOL And Of course I used the Scrappy Mom's "Sweet Somethings" Stamp set....Which I LOVE!!! And I saw the sneak peak for the Winter Stamp Set......I WILL BE FOR SURE ORDERING IT! :) Also, as if I don't like to layer enough as it is.......I borrowed the techniques from Momo(Made by Momo) and went a bit crazy on the layering of the boarder punches!

So I hope that you guys enjoyed the card!!! DON'T FORGET--Tomorrow is the start of the Creative Scrap's Challenge week....and it will start out with Cristi over at her blog! Now, just because we're designated certain days, doesn't mean that those are the only days we will necessarily be posting. We will be posting our own work(non challenge related) during the week...but are designated days will be dedicated to the Creative Scraps Challenge.

Card #4 of the Week

Hey Guys!!
First off, I apologize this is up late yet again! I slept in this morning, after getting to bed rather late last night. I could hardly sleep last night after wanting to see Molly's new Cricut Imagine work!! She got the lemon out of the bunch ((LOL)) so PC is sending her a new cartridge to fix the problem. I told her, she should of told them to ship it next day and Cristi said she should of requested an additional cartridge for the inconvenience--AGREED!! lol Then, this morning, I woke up to a FANTASTIC email saying I could receive an additional 15% off of sale items between 12-6pm at Michael's!! Now you know I was right on that! I got some Fall/Halloween Paper Pads (2pks), Recollections card stock (3pks), 2 boarder punches (1 for an upcoming blog hop giveaway), boarder stickers, and fall flowers for a centerpiece for $45!! I was very happy! Came home and skyped the afternoon away with the Fabulous Cristi while I created today's card.

Today i pulled a fast one......NO OLD WEST for today's card!!! **Gasp!** Although I love the cartridge, I was really wanting to use my new(to me) Scrappy Mom's "Sweet Somethings" Stamp set. I had gotten it a few weeks back and haven't used it so I decided it was time!

I really like how this card turned out!!! I added Glossy Accents to the white accents on the card and the tea in the teacup, but it wouldn't come up in a picture. And I Adore the Sentiment!

NOW......onto some (what I consider) exciting news. Like I had mentioned early on in the week, I had been trying to figure out different ways to not only challenge myself but some of my friends. Like you've seen, last week the challenge for myself was to shoot a video every day. This week was to post something using the cricut every day. So, after much discussion with Cristi and Molly, we've decided to start Creative Scraps. Its pretty much a Challenge week for us, happening every other week......so let me explain how it will work. Because I love my gig as a Made by Momo Tuesday Challenge Designer, I didn't want that to interfere with Creative Scraps, so our challenge will be on the week that Momo's challenge is not. Starting on Monday, September 20Th, we will have our Creative Scraps Challenge week. Now the week will have a theme of some sort and we'll all be showcasing our projects. So here is how week will go

Monday & Thursday: Cristi will be creating a project shown on her blog at Scrappin 5 Little Cupcakes
Tuesday & Friday: I will be creating projects shown right here!
Wednesday & Saturday: Molly will be creating a project shown on her blog at Army Wife Learn the Cricut

Now.....on Sunday, All 3 of us will have a new project posted up here on my blog but with an added element (color challenge, must use: ribbon, buttons, brads, must incorporate a particular image, etc.) and we will have a Special Guest Designer to give you a little more inspiration!! Sunday will be your chance to enter in on the challenge!! I'll have a Mr.Linky up here on my blog and you will have a week, till Saturday the 26th, to link your project! Then on Sunday, we'll announce the winner!

I hope you guys enjoy this and join in on the challenge!! Have a good weekend!!

Episode 25- Country Girl Pocket Card & HUBBY CHALLENGE

hey Guys!!! I hope that you guys are having a good week....but TG(T)IF--thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!!! I really do get lonely during the day with no one in the house but me and the "furbabies". Of course I'm talking to Cristi or Molly through out the day but its just different. I'm so glad my hubby will be home for the weekend :) Its the best part of his job as a recruiter! SPEAKING OF HUBBY.....He agreed to participate in the Hubby Card Challenge. He was pretty irritated at first because he couldn't get the shapes the size he wanted but then I introduced him to the Gypsy and he was golden! LOl So here are a few pics of him during the process

Trying to figure out how to use the cricut.....he wasn't a big fan---He kept saying, "I payed $300 for this thing and it wont cut the stinkin size I want!" (his problem is he wanted a boarder function images to measure 1"x1", he didn't understand that you cant do that on the cricut).

So, I introduced him to the Gypsy....gave him a very brief description on how to use (because he wouldn't let me tell him anything else, he wanted to do it all on his own) and he was using that thing like crazy!! I think all but 2 cuts came from the Gypsy.

So here is my hubby's card!! I think he did pretty good for his first card ever!! He said his sucks compared to the other hubby's and my cards. I told him next time to just have one main item to focus on and he acted hurt and said "i don't deal well with criticism of my work!" LOL, he's such a ham!

OK So onto MY cricut card for the day!!!! I used the Old West Cartridge again...and I know I sound like a broken record BUT I'm LOVING all of the images on this cart! Now i feel like this cartridges is more boyish but this card is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum and Love how it turned out!! This card is dedicated to my sister!! :) She is an absolute Girly Girl but she has been to a few barns recently and done a TON of dirty work but she is still very much into bling!

Me & My sister Christmas of last year at my parents house.....and yes my mom's house looks like it belongs in the Better Homes & Garden Magazine for Christmas :)

Cricut Card#2 for the week!

Hey everyone!!

I'm sorry that this is getting up SOOOO late!!! This morning I got up and got together this HUGE bundle for the Post Office.

My husband and I 275ish DVD for some extra cash and some more space in our house! We have acquired over 400 DVDs from before we were together as well as the 4 years we have been together....we decided it was about that time to let go! *LOL* (we're HUGE movie junkies)

So After getting that all together, I started brainstorming for an order for etsy--I MADE MY FIRST SALE YESTERDAY!!! I was thrilled and than I got special order request :) ANY WHO, I then did some grocery shopping and than decided to finally head to the post office.

Well the other day Cristi (Scrappin5littlecupcakes) "took me" with her around her town while she went shopping and to pick up her kids from school. Now obviously she didn't take me being that I'm here in Florida and she in Cali but she took pictures as she went around town. I thought it was the funnest thing ever! So today, I took her along with me :) I took this shot while driving (BIG TISK!! LOL) But I had to post this picture because the sky just puts a smile on my face!! I think its just soooo beautiful! Its the thing i LOVE the most about Florida. OK ON TO MY PROJECT!!(( i ramble too much! lol)

So my card tonight is 98% made with the Old West Cartridge....the only thing that is not is the top note cut in the background which comes from Storybook. I'm REALLY liking all the cute cuts on this cartridge. I'm not a big fan of the font cartridges because I mostly use stamps but I couldn't help myself with this cartridge because of all the other cuts!! I really hope that you guys enjoy this card!! I think I'll be up late crafting tonight while my hubby is playing his game so hopefully tomorrow's post will be up earlier!!
ONE LAST QUESTION FOR YOU ALL: Would you like to see recipes on my blog?? I've been sharing some recipes with Cristi and we think their good....so i was just curious if you guys would like me to share them with you??
LEAVE ME A COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW!!!!

Cricut Card #1 for the week- Old West

Hey everyone!!!

So here is card #1 of the week using my Cricut!!! So the other day, I purchased this cartridge on ebay (OMG ADDICTING!!!) for only $24 and free shipping!!! AND I absolutely LOVE IT, all of the images are so cute! Well, Cristi (from Scrappin5littlecupcakes) and I were talking the other day(just like we do every day :D) and I thought we should do a mini challenge with the two of us using this cartridge. I really hate when I buy a cartridge and I don't get around to using it because there is a "newer" cartridge that I'm using at the time. That's why I brought up the challenge to Cristi and she was all for it! So here is the card I created for today....I think it came out SO cute! Its probably the most masculine card I've ever made! I'm thinking i might have to use this cartridge all week ;)

I really hope you guys enjoyed this card and check back this week for more cards using the Cricut!!

PS....So some of my close buddies and I have been thinking about ways to really challenge ourselves and I'll be sure to announce what it happening on Friday so be sure to check in then!!!

Episode 24- About me (pt2)

Here is Part 2 for you guys!!!! Hope you guys enjoy it!!

Episode 24- About Me(pt.1)

Hey Everyone!!!

Here is my first video of the week!! I know it is not of me creating something but I figured I would let you guys see "ME"...LOL I thought you might like to see the face that goes with the voice and hands and get to know a little bit about me!! I really hope that you guys like this and if you have ANY questions or comments, please feel free to post them on this post or email me at techniquesbytrish@gmail.com

PS....there will be a pt.2 post because it wouldn't all fit in 15minutes. The pt.2 talks about me enjoying cake decorating, showing you a picture of my favorite cake that I've created, and books/authors that I absolutely LOVE!!! Check back tomorrow for the start of a week long projects with the cricut!!

No 6th video?!?!

Hey Everyone!!

I was really hoping to have a 6Th video up to "complete the week long video stretch" but it doesn't look like its going to happen. After accomplishing 5 video's in one week...I thought I'd take the plunge! Yes I know its crazy but..........I've been painting my ATG!!!! As some of you already know, I'm NOT a Pink girl so purchasing the new one was TOTALLY out of the question. But while I was at Michael's the other day, just browsing around (and getting stuff to make glimmer mist ;)) I came across some Valspar Spray Paint that was on CLEARANCE!!! YIPPPPPEEEE for clearance stuff!! Needless to say I found Teal and Glitter Spray Paint for Under $4 each! They are normally $10 each so I was stoked!! So that's what last night and my morning have been filled with, prepping my atg and spray painting, and i have it ALL on video for you to watch and try out for yourself. That is if you cant stand your red or pink atg too!! LOL So I do apologize for no video today but I'll be back, starting Monday, with a whole week of Using my Cricut for my projects and potentially a video everyday as well!

Lastly, on a day with so much meaning, I sit here across from my husband thanking God that he has made it through 2 tours in Iraq unharmed. I pray today for all of the families who lost loved ones 9 years ago in a day that will remain etched in our minds AND for the families who have lost loved ones fighting for our freedom. To all of the military men and women out there, and their spouses who endure so much, I stand with everyone else saying thank you! Although my husband is in the military, one man cannot fight the war alone.....so thank you. (Andrea, Nikki, Valerie, Sonia, and of course-Molly......THANK YOU!)

Episode 23 - Homemade Glimmer Mist.mpg

Hey Everyone!!!

I'm so sorry that this video is going up so late!!! I was in the middle of editing this morning and it was taking WAY to long to edit because my video was so long. So I decided to RE-record and my hubby was home with me so i still had to do MAJOR editing because he wouldn't stop horsing around and making me laugh!! Then we had to take my car in so that it could get fixed....but before we left I found my Blackberry right next to my puppy who must of thought it was her new chew toy :( It still worked but the camera lens was bent in and so were my buttons up top. So while i was "checking in" my car, the hubby called best buy to see if puppy accidents were covered by black tie protection....AND THEY WERE! WAAAAHOOOOO!!!! So we then headed to best buy to get me a brand spanking, newly released phone by Verizon and I'm IN LOVE!!

OK so enough about my saga story! Here is my video showing you 2 different ways that I've made home made glimmer mist! I think both methods are fantastic!! I hope you guys try it out because they work great and you wont need to pay $8 a bottle for tattered angels glimmer mist(although I'm sure their quality is SUPERB!).

OK....1 more video for this week!!! I don't know what to do a video on, i have ideas floating around but nothing concrete!! OK...enough of me blabbing and onto filming...something :)

Episode 22- Making Your Own Pattern Paper!

Hey Everyone!!!

So here is my 4Th video of the week! (GASSSSSSP!!) Its Crazy that I've been able to come up with something different to show you every day!! I'm debating on if i should post on Saturday....that is part of the week isn't it?!? lol So I LOVE the way this came out, i think it looks awesome and for such a sweet deal. $2.54 for a HUGE set of stamps ($7.00 w/shipping) makes me HAPPY :D --i'm sure it makes the hubby's wallet happy too *hehehe*--EBay is very addicting and thanks to Tracey from CraftJunkieToo, I've been checking out the cricut cartridges *dangerous!*. I've already ordered 1 and have 4 more I've been looking at.

I've also been thinking about what I'm going to be doing next week...to challenge myself. I'm thinking that I am going to do Cricut Cuts next week. I might not do a video everyday (unless you all would like them) but all of my projects will include some type of Cricut Cut!

Also....I've got an idea swishing around in my brain about a way to challenge me and a couple of my crafting buddies using the Cricut! I don't have anything concrete yet BUT as soon as I do, you guys will know!!

The last person I'm going to post did not send me her blog but she has become a very close friend of mine in a short amount of time. Her hubby is deployed right now and I'm sure she would be thrilled to have some followers on her VERY NEW blog!! She just recently started crafting but has been "stalking" many of your blogs. HeHeHeHeHeHe I think if she had followers, she'd get that little push to create more and it would really mean a LOT to me if you all would take time to visit her blog and become a follower. Molly...here is another shout out for you dear :D

Episode 19 - Chalk Board Vinyl Decor

Hey Y'all,

I have been experimenting in my "paper museum" (that's what my hubby calls it) and came up with Chalk Board Label using vinyl!!! I'm so stinkin excited about it because I wasn't sure if it would work or not and it DOES!!! The possibilities of what to do with this is ENDLESS!!! AHH, I'm so sorry, i get very excited when things work out. I must warn you though, in this video there is a LOT of trial and error LOL AND i was rambling so I apologize for that!! :)

Now onto creating my video for my post tomorrow.....First I have to figure out what to create ;) Hope you all are having a great week! I'm ready for crafting every day!!

OH and don't forget....Made by MOMO is LIVE ON USTREAM TONIGHT!! 10PM EASTERN TIME!! Momo will be show us some goodies that she sells for her craft shows but these would also make great teacher gifts or Christmas stocking stuffers! Episode 20 - Updated Craft Space

Hey Y'all!!

Here is a video showing you my updated craft room!! I hope you enjoy it and if you have any questions please let me know and feel free to leave comments :)

Also.....my objective this week is to post a video each day!!!! Its going to be tough but I hope I can do it, I'm really trying to get my creative juices flowing!!

PS.....lastly, I'm going to put the cake decorating mini series on hold for now. I hate saying that it will be up soon and it never gets posted. I have the first few video's done but when it comes to showing you how to actually decorate, I'm stumped!!! So until i figure it out and have more video's done on it, its going on the back burning for a bit. I'm sorry to those of you who were really looking forward to it (Steph and Cristi)....I'm not totally dismissing the idea, i just need a bit more time to figure it all out!

Episode 18 - Post-It Note Holder

Hey Everyone!!,

I know I promised this video this morning.....well I had an interesting day! My hubby left at 8.30am for work and I managed some how to sleep in till 10.30am!!! I have not done that since we've had Gem, the end of May! Anyways, thank goodness I did wake up then because my hubby got home 15 minutes later!!! HAHAHAH Shortly after that, i made lunch and than did some stuff outside, then dinner, and than editing! haha So I do apologize, sometimes life gets in the way LOL. So here is my video on my version of a Post-it Note Holder (it was my very first video of me making something). Jess, thank you again for the request and I'm sorry it took so long. I really hope this helps you and if you need any more help or instructions, please feel free to email me!

I hope you all have a GREAT holiday weekend!

Episode 17 - Stamp Storage

Hey Everyone, This video is just to show you in more detail how I created my storage for my clear stamps. My wonderful viewer Wanda asked if I could go into more detail and so here it is! If anyone needs more information or details on this(yes including you Wanda :D), please feel free to send me an email at techniquesbytrish@gmail.com I really hope that this helps y'all (as i said in the video) and I'll be sure to have another view up soon....so check back!

Jess, I'll be shooting the video for my post-it note holders with more details today, so if its not up tonight, it will be up by tomorrow morning!! I'm sorry for the delay on it!

PS......my military wife buddy MOLLY has been harassing me (LOL) to put up my revised craft room video. So as soon as that is edited it will be up.....I just like to space out my videos. I'd rather have 1 a day than have like 3 in one day and y'all have nothing else for the rest of the week. So it will be up soon, i promise!!

Good Morning Everyone!!

So its a new day, good gracious the first day in September!! This year seems to have just FLOWN by! Any how, I was up bright and early putting out the trash and recycles for collection and I feel quite cheery this morning! LOL
Unfortunately, I don't have a video ready for you guys early this morning BUT I'm hoping to have one posted by tonight or tomorrow morning. So since I don't have a video ready for you just yet......I thought I'd show some pictures of recent projects that don't have video's to go with them! I hope you all enjoy them :) Any questions about them let me know!!
This card was for my Brother In Law's birthday this past weekend. The close up shows that I dry embossed and than sanded the sheet so the "happy birthday" messages would stick out a bit more.

My SNOW GLOBE CARD!!! 2 weekends ago, while my husband was playing his game and I had no idea what to do, he suggested I make a Xmas card with my new cartridge "joys of the season". My husband is brilliant i tell you! LOL so I made this!!! This is a shaker card, the little circle cutouts shake around....I was impressed with myself on this card. There are some things I'd do differently for next time but overall...I really liked how it turned out :)

AHHH my little witch!!! As some of you know, I just recently became a Stampin' Up! hobby demonstrator! I primarily became one to get my discount and sell to my sister in law who is also a stamping junkie, like me! LOL So everything you see on this card, with the exception of the sentiment & border punch, is from Stampin' Up! She is just so stinkin cute!!!! I colored her in with my sharpie and bics and used an aqua painter and ink to color in her face. I LOVE how this turned out and I love the designer(patterned) paper!! The sentiment is from the fabulous set from Scrappy Mom's "A Haunting we will go" and the border punch is from no other than Martha Stewart! What do y'all think???

So the other day, i got this random urge to sew......yes I said it Sew! And not sew on my card but make something. Now some of you might be scratching your heads, hahaha, but my momma did teach me how to sew before I got married. She has 5 brothers and 2 sisters and she, her sisters, and my grandmother would MAKE their own clothes when they were growing up. So she knows a thing or two. :) Any how, I bought this pattern months before my wedding when I feel in love with this top and I also bought the fabric but never got around to it. So I put my big girl panties on the other day and braved it out without my mother by my side to help me and I made this top!! Now the sleeves are a little 70's but I still think I did pretty stinkin' good for my first time ever making a piece of clothing!! THANKS MOM!! You taught me well!!!!
Have a fantastic rest of the day, and check back for the next video on showing you how exactly I created my stamp storage system!!
