Scrappy Moms December Release - Project #3

Happy Friday Everyone!

Welcome to my 3rd and last project showcasing Scrappy Moms December Release.  I'm certain I'll be using these 3 stamp sets in the very near future, I just love them!

If you haven't seen the sets, here is one more look at them.

For today, I decided to change it up a little.  Instead of a card, I created a little tag to go with some homemade goodies.  My hubby deals with some amazing people on a daily basis, so this holiday I thought it would be nice to do what I LOVE and bake some sweets for them.  So far I've baked about 4 batches of cookies and 2 dozen blueberry muffins.  I thought I'd use some adorable boxes I found at Michael's to package up all of my goodies.  Here it is below:

I thought I'd keep the tag pretty simple and just brighten it up a little with some holiday Washi Tape and Green twine.

Hope you guys enjoyed this release, I've certainly had a blast creating with these stamps!

I'll see you back here soon :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - December Week #3

Happy Sunday Everyone!  I hope that your weekend has been a good one :)

I'm back again for Week #3 of the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge.

This week's challenge is an Anything Goes Challenge, where you can create anything your heart desires :)

For this weeks challenge, I just had to make another Christmas Card.  I could honestly make Christmas Cards all year around!  I knew that I wanted to create a card when with the Bitty Bungalows Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  When I was creating this card, I used a snow globe as inspiration.

The background/sky was created using a techniques I learned from Jennifer McGuire.  I used distress inks (dusty concord, faded jeans, and broken china) on Tim Holtz watercolor paper and a blending tool to get right sky color.  I then mixed some perfect pearls and water and used a paint brush to flick the mixture onto my 'sky' to get a snow/starry night look.  You can see a video and blog post on how to get this look on Jennifer McGuire's blog HERE.

Next, I created the snow banks by cutting out a hand drawn snow bank out of masking paper.  Laid it toward the bottom and sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink.  I used my Signo Uni-ball white gel pen to define the snow banks from the background.

And that's how I created my snowy/starry night background :)  I then simply die cut, stamped, and colored with distress marks a bungalow.  Drew in some lights with a black marker and then filled them in with Stickles to create Christmas Lights on the bungalow.  Stamped a couple of hearts in white ink and that completed my wintery scene.

For the front of the card I used the Warm Hearts Stamp Set for my sentiment.  I stamped it on a scrap of red card stock using VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it in white.  Added a red stickler heart, green bakers twine, and some faux stitching to complete my card!

I hope that you guys enjoyed my 2nd project with the Paper Smooches SPARKS Design Team!  Be sure to head over to the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog to see all of the other designers stunning projects and to enter in the challenge for your chance to win some store credit toward your next Paper Smooches Order!!!

Scrappy Mom's December Release - Day #1

Hello Everyone!  Happy Friday!

There is only 12 days till christmas.....have you gotten all of your shopping done?  I've been done for a week now and it definitely feels GOOD to be done early! No scrambling around at the last minute :)

Today, Scrappy Moms has release 3 absolutely fabulous NEW stamp sets!  I love the subway art look and so I was crazy excited when receiving these 3 sets! Check them out below:

Aren't they absolutely Fabulous?!?! And you can buy these stamp sets now in the Scrappy Moms Store!  Simply click HERE to order your stamps now.

For today's card, I thought I'd show you the card that I created to send out to all of my family and friends.  I love how they turned out, take a peak below:

I used Ranger detail embossing powder in Silver and on the grey snowflake I used my new Wink of Stella Glitter brush pen in Clear.  ((BTW love the wink of stella!))

What I love about this card, is that I created my own pattern paper.  Although I love the look of pattern paper on my cards, in order for me to create 40 cards I'd have to buy a whole lot of paper pads or order specially online.  Creating your own pattern paper, means you can avoid all of that :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this card.  Be sure to check back during the week for more projects showcasing these new stamp sets!  Also, be sure to check out the other projects by the Scrappy Moms team by clicking on their name in the right side bar!

See you back here soon :)

Scrappy Moms November Release - Day #3

Hello Everyone!!  TGIF!

I hope that you guys have been enjoying the projects that the Scrappy Mom Designers and I have been  showcasing over the week.  It has been so fun to use these 2 stamp sets and the die-namics die.

Here are the stamps and die:

For today's card I really wanted to use a colored image.....its been a little while since I've done some copic coloring, so off to my image stamp stash I went :)  I couldn't resist this cute little guy from the Greeting Farm Birthday Surprise Set!

The wash tape background was a little bit dark, so I had the bright pink behind the colored image and also the glitter dots to the corner.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting during this release.  Don't forget you still have time to enter and play along with the Terrific Tuesday challenge for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice!

See you back here soon :)

Scrappy Moms November Release - Day 2

Hello Everyone!  Welcome back to another day of showcasing the newest stamps from Scrappy Moms!

I've noticed lately that I've been really like the clean and simple look of cards.  So, I've been trying my hand out at it.  I really like how today's card turned out.  I started without the sequins but decide it was just a wee but to plan for me.... I'm taking baby steps :).

Today I'm using the Birthday Hugs set and this is such a great Birthday set to have in your collection!

And here is the card I create.  It was quick and easy to put together thanks to its simplicity :).

This little birthday turtle stamp set from Lawn Fawn put a smile on my face and I just had to use it for this release :)  The white dots that you see on the Kraft Cardstock is actually the falling snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp but I thought it sort of looks like confetti!

Hope you guys enjoyed this card.  Be sure to check back soon for another project for Scrappy Moms Stamps November Release!  Also, be sure to check out the other designers great creations by clicking their name in the right sidebar.

Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge and Announcement!!

Hello Everyone and happy Tuesday!

I hope you all have been enjoying the Scrappy Mom's November Release.  I have a few more cards to show for the release so be sure to check back over the next few days.

For those of you who may be new to the terrific Tuesday challenge, or TTC as we like to call it for short, it occurs on the first and third Tuesday of every month.  We hope that you'll join in on the fun and one lucky winner will receive a Scrappy Moms stamp set of their choice!!

With Thanksgiving right around the corner,  this Tuesday's challenge is Cards for Hero's.  You can either make a Thank You or Holiday card for our soldiers.  This challenge struck home, as my husband is active duty in the military.  I'm so thankful to have him home for the holidays this year!!  You can find all of the guidelines and information on the Scrappy Moms Blog.

I decided to create 3 cards because I know that something as simple as a card can bring a huge smile to a soldiers face.  Check them out below:

I hope you enjoyed these three cards and that you'll join in the challenge!  It's for a great cause!

Be sure to check out Scrappy Moms Stamp Blog to see the other designers fabulous projects!!

Oh... I almost forgot about my "Annoucement"!  I am beyond shocked that I was selected but completely thrilled and excited to be joining the Paper Smooches SPARKS Design Team!!! I keep checking my email to be sure I wasn't just dreaming that Kim said I was part of the team :).

Scrappy Moms Stamps November Release! - Day #1

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday!!  I'm sorry for my MIA recently....family life has been a bit busy.

Anyways, today Scrappy Moms Stamp is release not 1, not 2, but 3 new items!!  Its all really exciting as they are releasing 2 stamp sets and they are now carrying a new die in their store by die-namics.  Take a look at all 3 below:

I couldn't wait to get working with the dies and stamp set, so for my first project I used the Say What?  die and Just Sayin' Stamp set.  Here is my first project that I created with these items:

To create the front of the card, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Concord Crush.  Just smeared the ink pad on my Craft Sheet, spritzed it with some water and then put my water color paper in it.  I dried it with my heat gun and then redipped it a few time to get that splattered look.  I really am loving the Tim Holtz Distress Inks!

I decided to use black artist pen to create a stitching look around the speech bubbles.  It really just makes them stick out some more and when you open the card, it still has the speech bubbles on the inside.

I love how simple the card is but combine's 3 sentiments that all work so well together :)  The Just Sayin' Stamp Set has a TON of phrases that can be put together to make a unique sentiment.

Hope that you guys enjoyed this first card!  Be sure to check out the other designers projects by clicking on their name in the right sidebar.  Also, check out our guest designer for this month, Sukie at Scrappin Dhilly.
